It was a real pleasure for us to have Curt Collins leading in worship recently. Curt is a very talented musician and a humble entertainer. From the onset Curt expressed his desire to only do what would enhance the worship time, and he succeeded. It was great watching Curt interact with the church members following the worship services. He showed an intense interest in these members as individuals and was not simply trying to sell products or promote himself. You need to have Curt Collins come to your church if you want to have a concert or worship experience with a Christian entertainer who will truly bless you and your congregation.

It is my joy to recommend Curt Collins to your church as a guest worship leader and as a concert musician. You will be completely comfortable in working with Curt . He loves pastors and has a heart for people. We recently had Curt in our church and our people were so positive about his ministry and were moved by his love for God. Curt is a gifted singer and tremendous speaker. Don’t miss out on having Curt Collins in your church or at your next ministry event.

Curt,
I have been following your music since early 2006 when I first heard "Unconditional Love" on MySpace Music. It was not long after that you had additional songs uploaded to your MySpace that I knew you had an amazing gift, a man of extreme vocal talent. I began seeing you more and more on networks and also picked up a Focus on the Family magazine that highlighted your music ministry.
On September 27th, I drove nearly 6 hours to hear you in concert at the First United Methodist Church in Batesville, AR. I usually do not venture out of town but God spoke to my spirit for almost a month and that I needed to be in Batesville, AR. Not one second goes by that I regretted having driven the distance.
Hearing you in concert was as flawless as your recorded music. Your lyrics and vocals together puts one in a state of mind of receiving God at that moment. "Shelter Me" fits into so many lives right now for whatever adversity is faced. Asking for God to shelter us and at the same time, reaching our hand up to Him to receive us. We all look for acceptance in one way or another but to be accepted by God and feel spiritual elation at the same time brings on a greater euphoria. Every time I hear that song, I look for God to touch my hand when I reach mine up.
"Another Day" embeds into my thoughts that even though I am always wanting more time for whatever reason, I do not need to ask God for another day. He is there at that moment to help me through whatever I am having to address. It is very empowering. I have to listen to it several times a day to remind me that He is my strength. Even though we may ask God for another day, it seems like it would take a day to grow strong and make personal changes.
"Hiding Place" is another favorite. I keep a lot of things between God and I which is why I believe I really connect with this song. It takes my emotions further than I would have in that it makes me focus on what God has done for me and continues to do for me. I remember finding hiding places where I worked so I could talk to Him. Whether it was a stairwell, in my car, or when I used to run when it rained. My theory was if I cried, only God would see it. Although there is a deep silence within, it is a hiding place that God knows.
I am so glad God put it in my heart to travel to see you in concert. I brought your cd back to Oklahoma and let a few people listen to your music and we each agree your presence is needed here. I spoke to members of Oral Roberts University and we are working on bringing you to Oklahoma. I highly recommended to the churches I have spoken to that it is not only your talented voice that draws a crowd, it is what you sing.
Our organization has formed a committee to bring you here for a fundraising event that we know we will be successful. It is where God is directing us.
Thank you so much for being such a servant of God. We absolutely love you!
Sincerely,

Dear Curt,
This is a letter that I certainly hope will be shared with others. Perhaps, it would serve as a letter of reference in any situation where that would be important. Basically it is a "thank you" letter.
Several years ago it was my privilege to have you participate in worship services in my congregation in Harrison, AR. You will remember this time together, I hope. It was an important experience for me and the congregation. We had planned then to have you back with us soon, but sooner thatn I had expected I was appointed to serve another congregation.
What a privilege it has been to introduce your music and Christian witness to another congregation. Again, it was a blessing. Your music and your words are still echoing through our conversations. In particular your song, "God of Second Chances," helped one of my friends come to terms with his own past and the possibilities of a new future. We look forward to the time when you can bless us again with song and witness.
Grace and Peace,
Don

To Whom it may concern:
Curt Collins was our special musical guest during our Artist Spotlight Tour in September 2008. My husband and I traveled with Curt for about 10 days visiting churches from New Mexico, into Arizona and parts of California. What a trooper! After a motorcycle accident, and with a metal rod in his foot, Curt was fabulous and the folks loved him, too!
His heart for ministry really shined at each concert. And I was truly blessed to see that even though at one city, less than 2 dozen showed up, he didn't want to shorten the concert or leave anything out. In fact, he spoke even more personably between songs.
Curt is a great guy and performs his music from his heart.

”Another Day”
FSS Music
I like the diversity of Collins’ latest release. The tracks go from gutsy blues to adult contemporary rock and worship. “Never Givin’ Up On Me” is a perfect example of how well Collins mixes peppy-rock with a worship/inspirational sound. The blues style is present in “God of Second Chances,” and several of the other tracks key on the contemporary pop/rock sound.
One of the coolest melodies would be “Time,” and the importance of the message is not lost either – it takes time to make real change and transformation to the heart. I like the funky “Higher Ground” as well for many of the same reasons. It’s a cool rock track with a funky guitar track and horns. To add to this all, Collins plays some traditional hymns with an updated soundtrack – “Blessed Assurance,” and “Jesus Paid It All.”
Granted, the overall feel of Another Day is more adult contemporary, but I really appreciate the quality of the soundtrack and I think that as a vocalist, Collins did an excellent job of creating a well-rounded recording. It has a real positive feel that I found to be totally uplifting.

Edgy and original are two words that describe Curt Collins new Album Another Day. The album is great for people who are seeking praise & worship, and inspirational songs in one CD. Having a variety of slow, medium, and fast-paced tempo songs, Collins’ music gives listeners lyrics and beats to dance, relax, or worship to. It also includes Collins’ rendition of the Classics "Blessed Assurance" and "Jesus Paid It All." Over all, when compared to other Christian artists, Collins’ sound and style is very unique and is truly his own. His fans, past and future, will not be disappointed. Album highlights: "Shelter Me," "Once Again," and "Jesus Paid It All"

Dear Curt:
My name is Sonya Courtney Poe. I am from Forrest City, Ar and knew your family. I had to write you to let you know how your song you sang Sunday morning at First Baptist Church touched me.
February 24, 2006 my husband was killed in an airplane accident. He was a crop duster. My life has been really tough for 2 years. On May 14, 2008 my 26 year old son was killed in a crop duster crash. He has a 3 year old daughter and a 6 month old son.
I have questioned my faith so many times and wonder what God has planned for me. Your song let me know that through my faith I would get through this. I purchased both of your cds and they are wonderful.
Thank you for the words that you shared. Please pray for me and my family during this difficult time.
Love in Christ

Curt Collins is new to Christian music, but he maintains a unique heart for "throwaway" kids who have been abandoned and forgotten. Adopted as a baby, Curt reflects the blessings of family he feels in this album. His music is often guitar-driven and sometimes accompanied by gentle strings. You'll understand every heartfelt lyric he sings, as well as the messages of hope behind them.

Uplifting, great for the family
A father-son hug. It's a pleasure easily taken for granted. But in an Arkansas prison, Curt Collins rediscovered its value while ministering to an inmate tormented by the inability to hold his boy. Maybe that's why his self-titled CD includes folk-pop ballads about dads and sons popularized by Rich Mullins ("Growing Young") and Harry Chapin ("Cats in the Cradle"), as well as tunes offering listeners hugs from their Heavenly Father. This acoustic disc leaps into gear with the country kicker "On and On," the singer's note-to-self to resist filling his God-shaped hole with worldly ambitions. Such melodic enthusiasm bleeds into songs about God's devotion ("Love Unconditional") and the internal flesh/spirit struggle ("Shadow and Light"). Whether pointing weary travelers to Hotel Jesus ("He Will Pull You Through," "Waiting on You") or communing with Him personally ("In the Garden," "I Will Worship"), Curt Collins is a fine blend for thirsty families willing to slow down and let life's piquant flavors linger on the tongue.

Pure vocals and song strength
Boomer country rock has a distinct ability to say what it means and mean what it says. It stands as a wonderful respite to the current trend of ambient rock that has a tendency to turn cryptic as often as it delves into the realms of non-conformity. Curt Collins is a straight forward songwriter with an earnest handle on the power of Springsteen-esque turns of phrase. And this eponymous release does everything to stay true to those roots. His cover of "Cat's in the Cradle" is a good indication of Collins' musical posture-narrative, and dependent on pure vocals and song strength more than on fancy production. The standout track that came from his own pen is the folksy "Love Unconditional"; it's got the rolling Don Henley melody and sweet harmonies that will make it a go-to-on-the-road cry-of-your-heart song to get your day on the right track.

I am so happy to see Curt use his God given talents!
Growing up with Curt in Arkansas, I always hoped he would utilize his God given musical talents to reach those who were not believers. Curt's unassuming personality and lack of ego make him an ideal candidate to spread God's word. I LOVE Curt's music and it soothes me after a long day in the corporate world!

Soothes the Soul!
I'm not a critic, I just know what I like. This cd is one that stays in my cd player and I listen to it all the time! If I'm having a bad day, songs like Love Unconditional and He Will Pull You Through soothe my soul and give me peace. When I just want to praise my Savior, the song I Will Worship is one I sing over and over. Curt's decision to have Jamie Slocum produce the cd was a good move. The production is excellent! I look forward to Curt's next album!

Nashville-based Curt Collins is a straight forward singer/songwriter with an uncomplicated sound that bridges the worlds of Southern gospel and contemporary approaches (ala Russ Taff) and is more dependent on pure vocal ability and faith filled lyrics than over fancy musical arrangements. This disc leaps into gear with the country kicker "On And On", the singer's note to self to resist filling the void destined for God with worldly ambition. But it is clearly the string drenched ballads that really jump out. The cover of Harry Chapin's classic ode to the generation gap "Cat's In The Cradle" is also worth a listen. Such melodic enthusiasm bleeds into songs about God's devotion, "Love Unconditional", and the internal struggle between the flesh and the spirit, "Shadow and Light". Curt Collins is a fine blend for those willing to step off the treadmill of life and enjoy the full flavours of life.

Whispers to my heart
This CD is a culmination of soft whispers of gratitude to Mr. Collin's Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I remember as a youngster hearing Cat Steven's "Cats In The Cradle" and being moved to tears by the reality of the lyrics. This CD has something for everyone, my favorite is "I'm Free", it's where I am at this time in my walk. We seem to be drawn to music that goes deep in our spirit. Praise God for this CD and for the artist who delivers the message so well for the Lord.

Kudos for the fine sound
His bio says, he's not one of those "guys who entered the music industry just to puff up with fame, stoke his own ego or amass the riches that a hit single can cultivate...he wants to serve others...and [be] a source of hope for the hurting." And he does it by making an album that sounds like any of a number of recent Nashville releases. Ringing electric guitars, lots of harmonies, and a solid rhythm section. And actually some pretty decent tunes. He says his music is for "the church and the un-churched" and sure enough the songs are sometimes vague, hinting at his beliefs, other times more obvious especially if you know what to look for. "I Will Worship" is of the latter type, a ballad with an Eagles feel. The opener "On and On" has a bit more of a socially conscious lyric. Both approaches work. The musicianship is good throughout. You find yourself singing along with Collins's catchy hooks, and there some quite appealing guitar sounds, too. Jamie Slocum produced, and deserves kudos for the fine sound.

Love his voice and his message
From On and On to In The Garden it is just fantastic. My favorite song is Waiting On You it is my theme song he truly speaks to me with this beautiful song. His voice is very magical and beautiful, the message pure, I can rave on and on but the simple fact is, it is brilliant. I would recommend that EVERYONE listen to this CD. They WILL NOT be disappointed. I give 10+ stars. LOVE IT!!!

Meaningful songs that are about everyday life
New Nashville based artist Curt Collins is a real storyteller that makes country pop with hints of folk. His sound also reminds me of the old Chicago. The album is filled with meaningful songs that are about everyday life and God. This is a cd that you have to listen to when you sit beside your fireplace drinking a glass of good wine. Just listen and enjoy. Highlight is the excellent ballad “Growing young”. You have to listen for yourselves to pick out your own favorites.

Excellent! From beginning to End this song grabs the listener! I love the Bruce Hornsby sounding piano from song one bouncing me through the affirmation of the lyrics! Curt can deliver his conviction in every word sang from this CD and YOU will not be disappointed! I could not wait to open the cover and I play it regularly!

fans of Steven Curtis Chapman, Chris Rice & Jamie Slocum will dig this album!
Curt Collins delivers highly-polished pop songs that celebrate the Christian life. Some songs are more blatantly spiritual, while others deal with the spiritual aspects of life. Pleasant covers of "Cats in the Cradle" and "In the Garden" are at either end of the spectrum. For fans of Steven Curtis Chapman, Chris Rice, and this project's producer, Jamie Slocum.

fans of Bebo Norman and modern country will like this one...
Fans of Bebo Norman and modern country will find it worth the effort to check out this very nice debut, which is produced by Jamie Slocum. I really liked "the song "Growing Young." Lyrically, it reminded me of Rich Mullins. "I know so many secrets I wish I did not know." Other themes include God's ever lasting presence; "Shadow and Light" and "Waiting on You." Collins does a nice cover of Harry Chapin's "Cats in the Cradle" which even had my wife singing along. I wish this disk had a little more music to it.

listeners will enjoy this one....
Curt Collins wants to share his stories. Whether he's ministering in a prison, or singing his heart out on his new self-titled album, he believes his stories will uplift. So right out of the gate he's tearing into a John Mellencamp-like upbeat rocker, very Americana in its tone called "On and On" that Mr. Collins is having a good time with, and it's pretty contagious. The liner notes mention that he did a lot of the writing with producer Jamie Slocum, a popular Curb Records artist. Anyway... "Curt Collins" is a worship project for the most part, rich with story songs and straightforward praise. Collins also has a soft spot for father-son relationships, both heavenly and earthly. "Growing Young" is an emotion-charged Prodigal Son track, and the 8th track, called "He Will Pull You Through" covers the same theme. Also offered up is a cover of Harry Chapin's "Cat in the Cradle," complete with '60s-type guitar nuances. Collins shared on the liner notes and his website of his grief in missing his parents, so this may explain the album's emphasis, one which I think many listeners will enjoy. Collins clearly enjoys rocking out; check out jangly pop-worship track "Shadow and Light," as it climbs to a soaring chorus. But he may hit his stride on the ballads; airy ballad "Finally Free" and his quiet rendition of the closing hymn "In the Garden" both stand out. But the album's standout track is the string-rich ballad "Love Unconditional," hugely reminiscent of the Beatles. Curt Collins lays out a big slice of his heart and his stories on his self-titled album.

solid work recommended!
This album is bound to be a huge success. Collins delivers a work that is perfect for the mainstream CCM audience as well as the MOR/Inspirational and even folk and country [general] audiences. The music was great by any standard and the singing is solid as well. My favorite songs were cuts #2, 3, 6, and 7. The latter track [#7] was a cover/remake of HARRY CHAPIN'S "Cats In the Cradle" and Collins does a great remake of it with some nice guitar work being a highlight. A nice new arrangement. The last cut on the CD, #10 is the classic "In the Garden" I think that the easy accessible feel found in the album--a light pop, folk, and MOR country touch, give it a mainstream pop sense that will be liked by all kinds of programmers. His lyrics are down-to-earth, honest real-life. Even the worship songs don't go over people's heads. It is a fine effort though it leans more on the MOR/Inspirational approach. I would have liked to have heard more variety, maybe a country rock tune or a bluesy number would have added much to the album. Still a solid work.

new album
If you're already a fan of Curt Collins, you'll see him continue to grow in this outstanding new album. When he was rocking with producer Michael Sykes on his album "Don't Look Back Now," he was bridging that wonderful world of Southern and Contemporary Gospel. Now, he swings farther toward the pop side with producer Jamie Slocum, and makes the move with soul, humility, and a storyteller's grace. The tempo tunes are exciting, but it's the string-drenched ballads that really jump out of this collection, showcasing not only Curt's heart, but also his song-styling talents. What a musical triumph to include Harry Chapin's "Cat's In The Cradle" on a Gospel album. And if you ever thought "In The Garden" couldn't possibly be done in a fresh, new way, boy, are you in for a surprise with Collins' thoughtful rendition. This man is an artist.

We just had Curt Collins perform a concert at our church last week. It was a wonderful experience! He sang and told great stories from the heart of faith and family. His great voice, guitar and piano playing kept all of us enthralled.
Everything from booking Curt, to meeting him, to the concert was super. It is definitely something we’ll do every year! I highly recommend that you get Curt and his message of Christ’s love and faith to your community.

It is my joy and privilege to give the highest recommendation for Curt Collins. Curt led worship for our revival services on September 17-20, 2006 and did an outstanding job. I did not know Curt before those services; however he came highly recommended by our own Worship Leader.
I found Curt to be a fine Christian gentleman whose only desire was to serve the Lord. We made financial agreements up front, which were very reasonable, and to be expected to meet his expenses.
Curt is an excellent songwriter, singer and worship leader. He is also just breaking into the Gospel Recording Business. He has an excellent voice and the lyrics he writes are very meaningful and Spirit-directed.
Curt is very good with people as he relates well to everyone and spends all the time needed to sign pictures and CD's. He sells his CD's, but is very low key and actually we promoted the sales for him.
I was equally impressed with Curt as a worship leader. He is a fine Christian gentleman who loves the Lord. He does such a great job with worship that I actually believe we could have given an invitation after he led worship, never had the evangelist preach and we would have still had the same amount of decisions. When Curt leads worship, he truly leads worship and takes you to the very throne of God.
There is no question that Curt is led by the Holy Spirit and his one desire is to be in the center of God's will and to please his Heavenly Father. If God allows you to work with the Curt Collins I had the pleasure of working with you will not be disappointed. And, you will have been blessed for knowing him and allowing him to lead you in worship

Curt Collins is a gifted vocalist and anointed worship leader. Curt led our church through a multi-day evangelistic event. Through the use of contemporary praise and worship with meaningful hymns, our congregation was led into a time of powerful praise and worship.
Curt Collins' music is carefully chosen and performed with the heart of an artist. God has richly blessed us through his ministry and his friendship. I would highly recommend him to any church or organization for a concert or as a worship leader.

Mr. Collins,
Good morning! Great to hear from you! I am a devoted listener to American Family Radio. I caught part of an interview on the way home from work. After listening to AFR for so long I have come to believe that the artists, preachers, and other guest that they invite on their programs seem to have a special anointing from the The Holy Spirit. So I checked out your website. After reading your testimony in "Unconditional Love" on your website, I'm convinced that the crossing of our paths must be divine intervention. I am the Minister of Music at Elkmont United Methodist Church, in Elkmont, Al. A small church in a small town. Last year myself and a few others from my church decided that we needed to do more in the way of "outreach" and "missions", and also to help to build unity within the body of Christ. So we contacted all of the churches in our town (all denominations) gathered various singers and groups from our respective churches along with some other artist in our area that are known around here. We held a benefit concert for a missionary in our area (Jolean Rice) that was headed to Bucharest, Romania. It turned out to be a great event. We did however learn a lot from the experience. This year on September 30th we are holding our second concert. This year's beneficiary is "Moriah's Christian Children's Home" (www.moriahchildrenshome.org). This is a brand new home that has been built to house about 10 children, in Dutton, Al. This group does not receive any financial assistance from the state of Al, but rather they depend solely upon individuals, churches, and businesses for support. My job again this year is to schedule musicians and artists for this concert. This is a free concert, and 100 percent of the donations and proceeds made from this event will be given to Moriah's Christian Children's Home. We would love to have you participate in this year's event. Think about it but most of all pray about it, and move in accordance with how the Spirit leads you.
God Bless!

It is with great pleasure that I am writing this letter concerning the recommendation of Mr. Curt Collins. I have had the privilege to work with Mr. Collins on a project that was very dear to my heart, and the hearts of everyone involved, a concert to benefit Moriah Christian Children's Home in Dutton, Alabama. The success of this project was greater than I had ever dreamed. Success, which ultimately could only come from the provident hand of God, however, I believe that Curt has been anointed by God to serve in the music ministry, and that he was sent to us by the will of God. Mr. Collins has a great talent not only with the gift of voice, but also in the delivery of the message of God. Working with Mr. Collins has been a blessed experience. He is a man of great integrity, and also makes it a point to create lasting personal friendships with those whom he is working. Mr. Collins was a major player in the success of our event, and I would be honored to host him again at any time. I know that you will greatly benefit as we at "Elkmont Town On A Mission" did if you include Mr. Collins on your next musical event.
God Bless!
